THE DPF EXPERTS
90 DAY WARRANTY
Our business is committed to delivering high-quality service, and we strive to ensure that our work meets your expectations. We offer a limited warranty on our services, subject to the following terms and conditions. This warranty covers the work performed during your initial service, and we will endeavor to resolve any issues that arise within the warranty period in a manner that satisfies both parties. However, the warranty will be voided under certain circumstances, as detailed below.
Warranty Coverage
Our warranty covers issues directly related to the work we have carried out, subject to the following:
-
Scope of Work:
The warranty applies solely to the work performed by us during your initial service. It does not cover any unrelated or new faults that may arise after the work has been completed. -
Warranty Period:
The warranty will remain valid for 90 days from the date of service, provided that the vehicle has been maintained and used in accordance with the terms of this agreement.
Conditions that Void the Warranty
The following actions or omissions will void this warranty:
-
Neglect or Misuse of the Vehicle:
Failure to address warning signals or fault codes on the vehicle promptly will void the warranty. All fault codes are time-logged, and continued operation of the vehicle after a fault has been recorded, especially without addressing the issue, constitutes neglect. Even deleted fault codes will leave a trail, and such neglect will void this warranty. -
Refusal of Access:
If you refuse to grant us access to the vehicle at the same location where the initial service was performed, or if the vehicle is moved to another location without our knowledge, the warranty will be void. -
Taking the Vehicle to Another Repairer:
If you engage another repairer to inspect, diagnose, or repair the fault without first consulting us, the warranty will be void. We must be given the first opportunity to assess and rectify any issues related to our service. -
Failure to Contact Us First:
In the event of any issues, you are required to notify us immediately. If we are not given the first opportunity to attend to and check the fault, the warranty will no longer apply. -
Ignoring Advice for Repairs:
Any advice we provide regarding necessary repairs or maintenance during the initial service must be followed. If such advice is ignored, resulting in further damage or complications, the warranty will be void. -
Use of Unapproved Parts:
If any parts need replacing, only new and approved parts should be used. The use of non-approved or substandard parts will void the warranty. -
Failure to Provide Proof of Recommended Repairs:
If we have advised that specific repairs are necessary and you fail to provide evidence that those repairs have been completed by a registered repairer, the warranty will be void. Invoices must be provided on headed paper and must include the vehicle details, including mileage. -
New Faults Post Service:
The warranty does not cover new faults that have arisen after our initial service. The warranty is strictly limited to the issues addressed during that service. -
Failure to Operate the Vehicle Properly:
The warranty requires that the vehicle be operated in a manner that allows the DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) to self-clean. Specifically, the vehicle must be driven at motorway speeds (at least 30–40 minutes per full tank of fuel). Failure to follow this advice will void the warranty. -
Change of Ownership:
The warranty is only valid for the individual who owned the vehicle at the time the service was provided. If the vehicle is sold or exchanged, the warranty is non-transferable, except where a written agreement is made with us. Trade customers are exempt from this clause.
Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
Damage or faults arising from misuse, accidents, or negligence beyond our control.
Any unrelated mechanical issues or faults that were not part of the initial service or advised repairs.
Any issues arising from the failure to carry out regular vehicle maintenance.
Limitation of Liability
Our liability under this warranty is limited to the cost of repair or rework of the original service provided. We are not liable for any consequential damages, loss of vehicle use, or any other costs beyond the direct scope of the warranty work.
How to Make a Warranty Claim
To make a warranty claim, you must contact us immediately upon identifying a potential issue. We will arrange an inspection to determine whether the issue falls within the warranty terms. If we determine that the warranty is valid, we will work with you to provide an appropriate resolution.
—
This clause ensures clarity on the conditions and responsibilities that customers must meet to maintain their warranty, while protecting your business from unjustified claims due to neglect or external intervention.
